    Hi Guys

I was wondering if you could help me out.

    I am new to this.

What I am trying to do is rip all of my Blu-Ray's that I own onto my computer so that I can put them onto
an external HDD and watch them on my media player.

The first 6 or so that I ripped have worked perfect.

I used xilisoft blu ray ripper (Version 7.0), and selecting the HD MKV (Around 8-10GB per movie)

Now, when I try and rip any Blu-Ray, the audio is well out of Sync (At least 5 seconds) of the video.

Nothing has changed on my computer, and I am doing nothing different.

Does any one have any idea why this might be going on ?

No matter what Blu-ray I put in (I have now tried about 10) and its the same.

    My computer is:

    Windows 7 (64 Bit)
    i5 CPU
    8GB Ram
    2TB HDD
    LG Blu-ray Burner
Onboard Video (Would this cause trouble ?)

    Any help would be fantastic.

    Thank You

Use something better than xilisoft. Like rip with dvdfab decrypter or install anydvdhd and shrink to a mkv with vidcoder, ripbot264 or bd rebuilder.

Just like @Baldrick did I'd say try different tools; DVDFab / AnyDVD for decryption, VidCoder / Handbrake for conversion.

It's also possible that your on-board video equipment is contributing to the delay. Have you tried to play the mkvs on other systems with off-board graphics?

    HI Guys

    Thanks for your replys.

I went a bought the DVDFab package.

I am very disapointed in it as it will not let me convert the Blu ray to 1080p MKV, best it gives me is 1920 x 800.

The only good thing was it did rip the blu ray with no delay.

Any suggestions as to why it only gives me 1920 x 800 ?

I also tried Any DVD HD, that ripped the Blu ray to the hdd, and then I tried using Vid Coder to convert to MVK, and it also
    only gave me 1920 x 800.

Any reson why this is ?

I really like DVDFab in that it can rip the blu ray and then convert to MKV all at once, but I want them in 1080p, not
    1920 x 800

Any further help would be great

    Many Thanks

    Michael.

    Yeah, I tried that.

    Does not do anything.

    Seems 800 is the max...

  7. did you put "custom" instead of "automatic" and zero cropping ? I'm pretty sure it works in handbrake (vidcoder is just a gui for handbrake)

    Thanks for the reply.

I tried that also in handbrake and it still would only do 1920 x 800.

    So i tried something different...

I ripped the Blu Ray using Any DVD HD, and then i opned up DVDFab Converted and converted it to MKV.

Only problem I had was when I tried to do the Higer quality rip (2 pass, rather than 1) it would lock up at 50%.

So do I have to live with 1 pass ? Does anyone know if the quality would be much differnt ?

If I use DVDFab Blu ray ripper and have it go to MKV, it will only do 1920 x 800 - So i guess I have to do a rip first and then
convert - Would that be what you recomend ?

    Thanks

    Michael.

  10. Hi,

After you selected "custom" on cropping method, did you set the values to "0" ?

Because by default when switching to "custom", it keeps the automatically calculated values but lets you the ability to change !

I also doubt that you choosed custom cropping and selected 0 0 0 0. Same in vidcoder and handbrake. Under Anarmophic select also None.

    It should look like this:
