  1. Hi!

I'm hoping someone can help me. I have 9 8mm video cassettes Video8 SR90 with old family memories on I want to convert to DVD. The camcorder I no longer have so am not sure how to convert them.

I have thought of using services but I am worried something going wrong and them
    being broken or lost.

So if someone can help with the options I have I would appreciate it. Some are 20years old by the way if that matters.

    Cheers

  2. 1- look for a used camera on ebay(be sure they have a 14/30 days return)
2- professional (since you live in the UK I can't help/recommend a store)

Thanks. That is expensive to buy a video camera is there no alternative to doing it myself?

  4. There is no way around it.You need a player to transfer the tapes to your Computer or DVD recorder .

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_nkw=8mm+camcorder&_sacat=0&_odkw=8mm&_osacat=0&_from=R40

if you can't do your self .try one of the professional video transfer Service( check the reviews of the store 1st) don't send them all just few .if you like the results you can send the rest of them.

my advice.if they mean a lot to you Pro is the way to go.their equipment can clean the noise,,better color,,,etc.you can't do that with Al-cheapo camera or DVD at home
