Hello everyone!
I use to convert my BD to a .mp4 file with an average bitrate of 2400 kbps.
In your opinion could this be a good rate for an 1080p movie? Of course I know it's way lower than usual full HD movie, but if I would store them with a regular HD bitrate I would have my house full of NAS!!!
Thank you for your advice in advance.

If YOU think it looks good at so low bitrates I guess it's okey.
But I would at least use an average around 5000kbit/s for 1080p...or around 20-25 CRF(constant quality / rate factor) with x264 encoding.
Or buy a bigger HDD for your NAS. -
Well it seems fair enough.
Usually i tend not to get file bigger than 4GB.
Maybe I really need to upgrade my Storage devices.
Thank you, I hope also in other suggestions... -
From what I've seen in encodes, and heard from others much more knowledgeable than I, at that bit rate or crf factor you'd be better off downsampling to 720p.
