Hello
I've been working my way through my Home DVD collections (DVD 5 & DVD9) ripped to my PC HD, using VOB2MPEG
Then using HandBrake options (h264, RF 20, Decomb Defualt)
Is been going well with my DVD5 collections, but My DVD9 ( a nice 2 week Cox & Kings holiday, my wife and i went on in 2007) Mpeg i've hit a problem
The converted file plays but, (SEE PHOTOS)
http://i45.tinypic.com/1i056d.jpg
http://i46.tinypic.com/o0kys.jpg
There no Total Time showing and show i cant skip to a particular time, i have to use the fast forward which takes time as the clip over 2 hrs
Is this because the files are over 4 GB in size as i did click the large size option, or im i doing something wrong
Orignal Mpeg info

Thank you for the response MindBender, I dont have VLC player, but it works with WMP and there is a time start, end
The whole point of the file was to burn it to 25GB blu-ray (along with other files) Moving my entire collection from DVD Vob to MP4
Bluray (my player supports MP4 playback)
I spent today re-doing the large 7.67GB MPEG (twice 3 hours each time) using AVS Video converter, H264 format MP4
(first at 4600 kps, then 3700 kps) the file encoded (3.7 GB)
but there was no thumbnail image, and it failed to play with WMP
I think the problem is that the VOB file is over 4GB in size (as all the ones <4GB encoded played perfectly)
What i will do tommrow is i will split the 7.67GB Mpeg file into 2 or 3 segments (using VideoRedo, or Mpeg2cut2) so that
each segment is less than 4 GB in size
and re-encode each section using HandBrake, and then join/mux them up to the full size
Hopefully that should do trick
