LSX 3.5 wont convert DV PAL files

I am trying the demo of this encoder, but even though it accepts my DV type 2 avi files, it converts and shows garbage, just lots of little coloured pixels etc. Can this encoder open DV files??

I tried using VFAPI to load a "fake" avi file, but the same result.

Any ideas??
