    Hi. I have problem with avimuxgui. I use it to soft code subs to avis, but the problem is when the file has ac3 audio. I want to keep original interleave on all files - source has 96ms/96ms split across interleaves, but when i mux subs to it, no matter what interleave values i set in settings, the output differs. I set 96ms/96 ms - but the output has 64ms and 128ms plus its changed to split across interleaves. How i can fix this ?

  2. I'm guessing..... but maybe it's a limitation in the way AVI streams need to be interleaved (I've never muxed subtitles into an AVI myself). VirtualDub and VirtualDubMod both seem to do a similar thing when muxing MP3 audio. If it's CBR they obey the interleaving you specify. If it's VBR they both seem to completely ignore it and interleave the MP3 audio the same way. Does keeping the original interleaving matter for some reason?

    Also, keep in mind that AVI-Mux GUI does have some bugs and limitations, and more importantly,
    the author himself says he has no plans to update this software anymore

    Some issues of AMG:

    1) MP2 files created with toolame are always detected as "VBR" , and thus AMG refuses to mux them into .AVI ;

    2) AAC from MKV files cannot be remuxed into .AVI ;

    3) MKVs with 'V_MPEG4/ISO/ASP' are simply misdetected as "invalid input" or something

    Hmm..the worst thing is that when i mux the subs to avi and then remux it again in vdubmod the subtitles disappear (but intereaving can be set ok). The solution would be not to set interleaving and leave it default, but it cant be done like that, some number must be there (in AMG)
