Looking to know the best way and codec to use to convert some files from HuffYUV to DV. OS is Win7 x64 and in addition to VirtualDub I have Sony Vegas Pro 11.0 and Adobe Premier Pro CS6 available. I do not have any codecs other then what would be included with this software suite. I do have a Sony D8 Camcorder as a hardware based option as well.

I would be willing to purchase a low cost DV codec if it was worthwhile/necessary (say $50 or less).

  2. Cedocida is the best DV codec and it's free. One wonders, though, the reason for wanting to convert from HuffYUV to DV AVI.

  3. Open your Huffyuv video in VirtualDub. Select Cedocida as the compression codec. If your source isn't bottom field first you must make it so. Ether use the Field Delay filter, or crop one scanline from the top and add one to the bottom. Save as AVI
