  1. In converting an SVCD into a normal VCD, I'm wondering what, if any settings will help the framerate look more consistent. As my DVD player cannot read SVCDs, but can read XVCDs, this is my only real option. Howerver, the ones I have done so far seem to get choppy during the conversion. I know there will be some loss of quality, but I'm hoping there is something I can do to make it a little better. Video and sound quality is great, but fast movement looks very jerky. TIA.

  2. If you are converting from NTSC film to PAL with TMPGenc you will get slightly choppy video as TMPGenc inserts extra repeat frames to get from 23.97fps to 25fps. Leave the framerate of the original if you can. If your equipment cannot handle the source file format (NTSC) then search this site/forum for info on how to do a proper NTSC - PAL conversion. It is difficult to keep the audio in sysnc but can be done.
