Ok guys, here goes...
I've got a 25 fps PAL avi that I've taken and encoded the video only in tmpge with a 23.97 fps with 3:2 pulldown on playback, not changing the framerate on the advanced tab. My resulting m2v NTSC film file is about 5 mins longer than the original PAL avi, which I understand because I have slowed down the movie. Here's where I'm stuck. I took the original PAL avi and converted the audio to a WAV file in Vdub. Stuck that in BeSweet and changed the framerate in the OTA from 1001 to 960 and made an mp2 with that. Now that MP2 is about 5 minutes shorter than the original avi file, so when I muxed the m2v and the mp2 together, hence, out of sync. I followed Truman's "framerate conversion" guide that you can find in the forums and under the "how to's" under convert. Anybody know where I went wrong? Any ideas or thoughts much appreciated. Thanks.
