  1. im so frustrated right now so please save me lol....

been using MSI Afterburner to take game capture AVI's but for some reason my editing software - Adobe Premiere Pro cs5.5 and Womble MPeg Video Wizard - wont display the video portion of the AVI when i import the movies into the programs... grrr

so i broke down and bought DXTORY video capture program and its AVIs crash Womble Video Wizard and also wont display video in Premiere Pro using the H264 codec.. w t f.

but fuking freebie crap Windows Movie Maker will run the AVI's just fine... but the editing tools are junk. ya i fukin bought Premiere Pro for my son for school.. 500$ and people are telling me to edit H264 movies ill need another plugin for 150$... wtf. this is why people use torrents...

so is anyone using MSI Afterburner or DXTORY and have a good editing solution? i actually really like Womble Video Wizard so if someone could help me realize my problem. the Womble site recommended i install ffdshow for more file support so i did... didnt work.

    THANK YOU SOOO MUCH

  4. hey thanks for the replies...

@Baldrick.. well ive tried the other Dxtory codecs and honestly i think they are poor visual quality and/or overly large compared to h264. but no, i havent tried the lossless codec. i dont have a SSD to record to so i worried about the write bitrate speed limitation that my 7200RPM HD might encounter using a lossless codec. ill give it a try. that codec works with both Premiere and Womble Video Wizard? thanks for the idea

@Cauptain... ill see what i can do later... i really need to step away from this project and take a walk outside lol.... frustrated.

edit: Baldrick, i dont have that codec listed in the dropdown window... would Rawcap option equate to the about the same lossless file?

  5. No it (UT video) won't work in Womble - Womble only supports MPEG2 (poor compression)

I´m DXTORY user too (love this). work fine with all codecs tested.

Using UT VIDEO RGB no need SSD to record at 720p.

Try UT VIDEO, LAGARITH or HUFFYUV. Both produce lossless records and superb quality.

For WOMBLE try MATROX VFW Codecs , its have MPEG2 HD codec for free.

    Waiting for file.

  7. well i downloaded HUFFYUV but its impossible to use in DXTORY.. i searched everywhere for someone who got them to work together so if you figured out how i'd love to hear it.

but anyways i found a great solution with Corel Video Studio X5... fantastic software and it edits every single file type ive tried, including the h.264 AVI's from my MSI Afterburner game captures.. tons of great effects and tools too. best 60$ ive spent.
they have a 30 trial but it took me only 4 hours to realize i love this software and so i gladly whipped out the credit card
