I was wondering about this. I have a ps3 and a new sony bluray player - its a full fledged bluray player not another ps3 (forgot model number, new this year). Neither show the jacket picture from a dvd - and I mean a store bought original.
Its not anything important to me I'm just curious as to why.
Also why do some blurays have a picture and others don't on the menu? I mean the bluray equivalent of the jacket picture? How hard is it for the studios to shrink a movie poster file and put a less than a meg file on a disc? I'm assuming they'd be that small of a size.
Is it something that just was a fad among some studios?
