I have a lot of videos that I would like to create thumbnails for, but it can't be within the first one or 2 seconds because the thumbnail might be unrecognizable. The videos are all in different formats. There is only two ways I can think about doing this.
One is using this video to JPEG converter program as it has the option to extract a frame every X seconds. I would have to search for the first frame made for each file and move those to another folder and then delete the unneeded frames.
The second way would be to use VLC and add the files to the playlist, and to use auto hotkey program and set it to hit the snapshot shortcut every 5 seconds and then hit the next file shortcut. The second way is probably the better way but creating the script wouldn't be that easy. Are there any better ways?
