    Is it possible to have 2 video streams ?

    e.g have a HD channel and also a promo video for SD receiver.
    I think Sky Italia is doing this i.e if you have a SD receiver and you choose a HD channel you get a promo video.

    Any documentation or DVB equipment capable of doing this ?

    Is it possible for there to be 2 (or more) video streams in a TS? Yes!

    Is it possible that an existing DVB recorder can/does record broadcasts in that manner? Possible, but VERY unlikely. None that I know of.
