Restoring Cool Edit Pro warning dialogs?

Hi, I was running a batch file conversion to remove the privacy bit from 1500 files and had to turn off the 'Saving to a lower quality file' warning box. Is there an easy way to turn it back on when the job is completed?

Anyone??? is it in the cool.ini file? The registry? I'm ok with either one... Help!!!

Deleting the "Tips" section of your cool.ini will re-enable those warnings as far as I can tell.

Almost nobody here uses Cool Edit. And needing to convert 1500 files to remove a privacy bit may well make you the only person on the planet who's done that. I've never even heard of a player that recognizes the privacy bit. Those are the reasons why you didn't get an answer.

I want to give you credit for dropping that fake country nonsense in your other thread. As long as you are willing to write posts like this I really do not mind to help if I can. I did not say this earlier but you should consider that we have a lot of members here in Europe who do not speak English as a first language but are very helpful and knowledgable. Resorting to pseudo-hick English just potentially takes them out of the loop in terms of being able to help you. But it's your decision on how to present yourself in the forum.

my cool.ini file is jus' this:

Is that it, or am I lookin' at the wrong file?

Well, after lookin' at the cool.ini file, I don't see anything that looks like it would restore the warning dialogs...
