  1. hello

i noticed some DVD videos got Top field first and some got Bottom Field field first.I'm using computer to play DVDs and i didn't notice any quality difference. so what is the difference of these two scan types ?

and also i noticed YouTube videos got Progressive scan type and video quality is not so good.but i noticed some DVD videos are also Progressive videos and their quality is good. !

so what is the best DVD scan type ?

  2. It means it's interlaced video from a camcorder, film is progressive. Some TV stations still transmit interlaced video(1080i in the US) but PC's use progressive. There is no "best" type so if you are encoding then use the same field order as the source.
