VLC: window size settings not sticking

I re-installed VLC 2.0.0 which fixed a problem I discussed in another thread
VLC: playing a DVD folder?

But now when I open files from a folder, VLC opens and plays them in large size (1928 x 1205). I have set Zoom to ½ but that doesn't seem to be followed.

OK, found the solution myself thanks.

I unchecked Interface > Resize interface to video size.
