xmediarecode - purpose of buttons on Resolution page

Hi - can anyone tell me how to use these buttons? I can't recall seeing them in previous versions of XMR. Grateful thanks if you can help.

That should be "Resize mod ...". So the v/h resolution is a multiple of that number.

Thanks, leghorn. But the options available under those buttons are 2, 4, 8 and 16 - the 'v/h' is a multiple of ALL those numbers. What should one choose - 2, 4, 8 or 16?

Well...afaik vertical/horizontal resolution should be a multiple of 8 or 16 for support on stand-alone players. In case the resize mod is 16 the resolution of 720 is a multiple of all. But if you want to resize to (maybe) 708x... you'll have to set the reside mod to 8. Just like 32 is a multiple of 2, 4, 8, 16; but 24 won't divide by 16.
