Is there a way to merge multiple files and retain ALL chapters?
I have about 8 files I want to join each with there own chapters.
I put the first one in the input and then append the others.
With the output file the first file keeps all its chapters but the appended ones lose theirs and a chapter skip simply takes me from each additional file to the next.

Is there a way for this to keep all chapters without adding them manually with the chapter editor?

    Thanks.

Bummer, that was over 2 years ago. You would think that would have been implemented by now.
I would gladly pay for that feature!!

Heh... I just did Yahoo! search for
    'merge mkvs and retain chapters'
This thread already came up as the second link after only a few hours!
Freakin aliens had to invent this 'internet'!!! LOL

Ok, I learned that I can extract the chapter info from a file and save that info as an .eml file.
Is there a way to merge these files? I could simply cut and paste the chapter info into one eml file but the each file has timecodes for that particular file so simply combining them would not work.
The times would have to added to the previous set of times.
This seems like something that would probably not be to hard for someone to write a program for but it is beyond my abilities

If I only wanted to do this with one set of files I would just do the math and write my own eml file or do it with the chapter editor... but if there is an easy way to do this then I have multiple set I would like to do this with.

I uploaded a couple of the eml files if someone wants to take a look.
