  1. Hi, . . . most won't remember me from a long time back, . . . but I'm up against a rock and need some help.

Our church video system is basically not doing it's job, . . . needs replaced.

We need one camera, on a tripod, able to get a "reasonable" video image 60 feet distant, . . . with something like a 20 foot wide image.

    I would like to get a camera with a microphone input, . . .

We would like to have the thing in hand by Saturday, . . . check it out, . . . proof it, . . . and use it Sunday.

Anybody out there got any real good suggestiions?

    Oh, . . . yeah, . . . my budget is under $400, . . . and everyone smiled when $300 was mentioned.

    Thanks to all who help.

    May God bless,
    Dwight

This list will get you started. That price point has compromise. You will need a powerful computer for editing AVCHD format (quad core minimum).

  4. Thanks, guys, . . . if all goes well, . . . I'll be picking up a Canon Gl2, . . . doing a trade/barter, . . . and will undoubtedly have a bunch of questions.

    Again, thanks, may God bless,
    Dwight
