  1. My Apex 660 player doesn't play the last few seconds (about 5-6 seconds) of the last chapter on the SVCDs I made. I have no such playback problem with PowerDVD on my computer. I have tried Nero, VCDImager, different encoding setting, GOP structures for example on TMPGEnc, etc. Has anyone experienced this problem with their Apex 660 player and found a solution for it besides extending the movie with "black blanks" at the end? Your help is very much appreciated?

  2. my 703 does it as well, but just the last 3 seconds. Easy way around it is to just make a 5-10 sec black trailer and join it with the mpegs before you burn them.

I'm not sure if you're using Nero. Nero adds about 5 seconds delay in between chapters or tracks (mpeg files). Fortunately, you can change the delays. After adding the mpegs files to SuperVideo# window, right-click on each file and select Properties. One of the fields is the delay settings.

  6. I have only used VCDImager once as an evaluation. At that time, I only have one track. Although, VCDImager added an empty track with 0 time at the beginning. When I played it on my Apex player, it jumped from the first track to the next almost immediately. But, that test is not very conclusive. You should try it out.
