    I need a new external 1TB hard drive. Any opinions on what to get or what not to get. It will be used mainly for backup storage of movies and MP3s.

    Don't Bother... Go 2TB! It's only $40.00 bucks more... I just got 2TB Seagate with a NEW 3.0 USB! It also works with regular 2.0 USB ports. Boy, is it ever fast! I keep transferring 30, 40, GB and it takes only about 10min or so.. Love it. If you also place your movie files on it, the renderring is much, much faster too.

    I badly needed that, my laptops’ memory is crying now due to huge amount of my files. Just wondering what could be the best brand to buy.
