  1. I have tried to encode VCD using TMPGenc for my Nappa 311, have tried different bit rates 1050, 1123,1150,1250,1500, 2500, and the best is 1150kbps. The lower side is image quality degradation blockiness, but no choppy, the upper side is very choppy, skipping, but the image quality is whole lot better, very clear. My source is DV.

Can you tell me which TMPGEnc version you have been using? As I never managed to get a working VCD with the Napa DAV309-311, unless I used the Panasonic MPEG Encoder.

Nice to hear that its working for you. But as there are 9 different versions (till now) of TMPGEnc, and each has one thing working or not i.e. Bugs, I am trying to eliminate the possibilities. You too didn't add which version you're using.

  5. The version is 12beta_h, the CDR is imation brand 80min/700MB, burn with nero 5.5. make sure to turn off the scene detection. The slow motion feature on this 311 is very awesome guys very smooth shape.
