  1. Hi guys,

Hope someone might be able to help me out here.

Basically I've put together a video in final cut pro from footage I was supplied with. The footage came as .MTS files which obviously can't be used straight into fcp.

I used "Wondershare Video Converter" to convert all the footage into .mp4 files and that allowed me to edit the piece together.
However, I can't for the life of my deinterlace the video now it's done and I'm beginning to think that the conversion may have messed it up.

I've no way of finding out whether the footage was interlaced to begin with but when you import the clips into Wondershare it allows you to watch them as they are before converting and it looks interlaced - but could wondershare be making them interlaced before even converting?!

    Thanks in advanced!

Use clipwrap to make a mov from your mts instead.

you probably should let fcp convert directly to aic rather than converting to some unknown mp4 format.

use mediainfo on the source files then also on the mp4 to see what changed.
