Here's a tough one: I mic'd 5 'seers' who all had earplugs in so they wouldn't hear the others' comments. There is also a guy running things who sometimes speaks loudly to get their attention. Once they had the earplugs in some (3) of the folks spoke MUCH more quietly than during the soundcheck of their individual lavs and it's tough to hear them even with other tracks all muted. I tried putting some of the other lavs or nat sound tracks as inverted waveforms (in Vegas 11 with a click of a button), and messed with the '5.1' surround options front to back but nothing really seems to help ...yet.
Anyone have experience removing voices from... other voices? Each person's lav got their voice louder than others, but the folks seated between other folks have too much chatter to really make much out intelligibly a lot of the time. My knowledge of plug-ins is limited, so before I spend too much time trying to figure out what else to use and how to use it, I am offering this situation to the 'videohelp oracle'. Arigatou.
