I want to capture a frame from my home video off of *.mts file while playing on PowerDVD.
I've try unlead video to capture the same frame, but the software degrate the quality of the picture.
it's 1920x1080 format.
is there a better software preserve the quality of the picture or some way to capture it out of PowerDVD?

I don't have the latest PowerDVD but VLC will do it in high quality with choice of deinterlace method. On the menu bar go to Video_Still_Snapshot. You can use any deinterlace mode in that same menu. Here is a quarter res 960x540 sample snapshot from 1080i broadcast.

Try media player classic, file save->image. You probably need to install ffdshow.
Or VLC Media Player should probably work fine too. -
Does anyone know of any software out there I can purchase to frame grab multiple images from HD video .mts format that gives a high resolution still image shots?

Pretty sure PowerDVD has a snapshot facility. I know mine has (version 7.3).
I capture 1920x1088 shots from my bluray backups regularly.
Capture as BMP for lossless, quality images.
It stores them here: C:\Program Files\Cyberlink\PowerDVD\Snapshot as default.Last edited by transporterfan; 14th Jan 2012 at 07:23.
