The MKVExtract GUI can't seem to find the subtitles, but the MKVMerge GUI can. I'm curious as to whether or not I installed it properly, or if there was anything I'm missing out on. This is my first time around trying to encode videos to my own stature, and I'm just trying to pull off subtitles from my original downloaded video.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

P.S. The MKVExtract can only find chapters, but nothing else.

Hello Baldrick, thank you for replying. ^^'

At first, I went on a rampage to download converters. I actually downloaded 3 different encoders (silly me). Anyways, after I saw that, not only did it take nearly four hours to encode, but there was no subtitles. I figured I would, instead, try to pull subtitles from the original video.

I was in such a hurry pace, I had went on a second rampage to download all the tools/software required to pull subtitles and all that other chess. Even though I downloaded this extractor too, it came with an error message after opening, "put me in mkvtoolnix." I tried dragging it in, and it still didn't work on the opened program.

I'm such an idiot, I completely disregarded it all and proceeded to look for other methods and fixes.. I didn't even realize my programs file folder was titled MKVtoolnix.

I'm currently extracting my subtitles. ^^ I wanted to say thank you one last time for opening my eyes. I had already downloaded that program, even though it looked different then the ones I already tried? Everything is up and running perfectly, alas, thanks.

Yes, definitely try MKVExtractGUI-2, if you aren't already using it. I've seen hints (nothing conclusive, though) that the original MKVExtractGUI might not work well with the more recent versions of mkvtoolnix.
