    Hello,

Just as the subject states, I can't play back .m2ts files with DTS audio in Windows Media Player. The video plays fine, except there's no audio.

The same files have always played flawlessly using VLC, but I would prefer to play them in Windows Media Player because the picture quality is superior.

I purchased and installed CoreAvc, as well as ffdshow and ac3filter, but there's still no audio.

My operating system is Windows 7 professional.

    Help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Cam

I saw this on the net: After you have installed AC3Filter, open AC3Filter Config. (Start->All Programs->AC3Filter->AC3 Filter Config) and head to System. Then make sure DTS is selected.

    Hope that helps.

    And welcome to our forums.

    Hello redwudz,

Thanks for the reply. It is selected, but still nothing.

MediaInfo shows two audio tracks but they're both DTS. It should still work though.

This is quite frustrating as I've spent hours (yesterday and today) searching for a solution online before seeking some advice on this great forum.

I don't have a sound card. Is this the problem?

Edit - Never mind, that's dumb. It works with VLC.
