Hi, I'm working with a few folks to create a video that will be shown on a 1024*768 screen via projector. A lot of our source footage is 720*480. I am wondering, is it better to create my video at 1024*768 and scale the footage up in software, or is it better to create the video at or near the source ratio and let the system playing it scale it up (i.e. full screen mode) at the time of presentation? Which would result in the better picture?
Thanks!

decent hardware is usually better at scaling then software. especially if your source is interlaced.
