converting Monster.Inc.FastEmpire.DVD.SCREENER.RE.DiVX.avi

here is the problem
when i dl the file i played it in wmp and it played okay, i flicked through the film until the end. the words just start and then it finishes.
i have now tried to play it in windows and it is telling me the class is not registered.
my problems is this i tried to convert to vcd using tmpgenc but at about 2.30 the screen goes black and then it converts faster due to there being nothing on screen. i have tried to take the audio out using audiodub but it
says something likeit has to rekey the fileand then only gives me about 8 minutes of audio?. i then tried divxfix and that tells me there is 2 errors but when it gets to the end it tells me there is and i/o error and never actually fixes the problem.
i am converting to vcd but if the file is the svcd version would that be the problem
any help appreciated

i have had this problem with one other file enemy at the gates but i just dl/ed the file again and that file worked.
