Newbie Sound Probs with DVD2AVI

I have ripped a dvd using Gordian Knot Smart ripper, and then I load the vob files with DVD2AVI, then when I save project I don't get a audio file that can be played back !! so can't load the audio on the next step, however, one time when I did this I saved the project and it also saved the audio file, which was a fluke, so I don't know how it did it, please help, as you can see I am new to this, but with the help of this forum I might be able to learn a bit more, Mezman

hey....once you load the vob files...make sure you have the following settings under the "audio" menu

track -> usually i set to 1...however, sometimes the first track cannot be extracted, so i choose another track...

channel format -> auto select

dolby digital -> decode

mpeg audio -> demux

Hey poopie, was a little apprehensive as to whether that would work or not, I left the track on track one, and then tried what you said, and it worked ! My hat goes off to you ! Thanx buddy
