    Is there anybody have recent information about Pioneer DV717 player can play SVCDs ?

    I'v read the compability list and look at many items in this forum, and little bit confused. List says OK to SVCD but some posts not. I also tried to create an SVCD with Nero 5.5.7.2 and my DV717 doesnt play.

    Is there any ideas ?

    it does not, the lists says NOT...

    only one users says it does....I woulndt believe him and I removed that report also.

    I'm sure that I've seen the list as supports, few weeks ago. Neverthless it doesnt play svcds. By the way I do not understand why it cant play other mpeg2 disc format or not software upgradable.
