I am capturing video from VHS using Dazzle Hollywood-DV Bridge. I then convert the AVI files to MPEG-2 and burn to DVD-R using Ulead DVD MovieFactory. I then play the DVD-R in my standalone DVD player. This works well except I have to switch to analog audio on my receiver to hear the sound. My display shows "MPEG". I got a friend to burn the exact same VHS video using his iMac. The video quality is the same but the sound will play when my receiver is set to DVD Digital instead of having to select analog. The DVD display shows "LPCM". What am I doing wrong with the audio? I don't want to have to switch to analog to hear my sound.

    Thanks in advance....

  2. The MAC is most likely converting the audio to AC3.
