    I have a lot of encoded AVI/XviD AC3 files with 720p resolution. What's the best way to convert them to play on a standard DVD5? Will 720p play on a standard DVD? Thanks.

    720p will not play of standard DVD. you can convert to standard dvd with avi2dvd, convertxtodvd, avs2dvd, thefilmmachine and many others.

    If I encode to 480p my blu-ray player will play XviD, for future reference wouldn't that work without converting it again to DVD format.
