Hello! So I am a dumbass, and when uploading a bunch of my digital copies of my movies onto my computer this evening I mistakenly uploaded all of them in a wmv format. Because I rightfully obtained all of the movies I am unsuccessful in being able to convert any of them to a MPEG format so that I can put them on my HP Touchpad. I have downloaded 12 different programs as a means to convert them, and all have been unsuccessful. I am sure there are instructions somewhere but I seem to be a little lost in finding them. ANY help would be GREATLY appreciated!!!!!!!

Uploaded? What exactly do you mean by that?

What program did you use to do this?

As soon as I placed the digital copy into my computer I was prompted by windows explorer to copy the digital copy of the movie onto my computer. Most of the movies gave me 2 options itunes, or windows media viewer. All of the WB movies required their own WB digital copy manager, so all of those files were put onto my computer via that. I mistakenly choose windows media viewer and am now unable to move the files anywhere. The programs I tried were Prism, winxdvd, leawo, www.wmvtomp4converter.com, ixlisoft, super (i think), and avs4you, and something with fox in the title. Is this making sense?

Absolutely not. Where did this "digital copy" come from?

Kkfaris probably has Autorun enabled. When you place a Digital Copy disc in the drive and run it, you're usually asked to go through whatever 'unlock' (verification) process they're using for the disc, then to send the video to your portable player through whatever player it does support (usually WMP first, then maybe others, like iTunes, if they're feeling generous enough to support any formats other than WMV).

You're likely not going to be able to do much with the videos, to be honest. They're DRMed left and right and time-limited for a reason. If you've got the Digital Copy discs, you'll have the original DVDs. Just rip those, and convert for your Touchpad, or whatever you want to play the video on. Less of a headache, you'll have more control over the process and video, and you may even end up with a better-quality video than the Digital Copy version...

Ahh yes! You understand! The only other probem is that I don't have any dvd forms of the movies they are all blu ray and my computer doesn't support reading blu ray. Either way how would I go about ripping these to be able to convert for portable use?

Buy a BluRay drive and install it in your PC.
Buy AnyDVD (better choice) or DVDFab HD Decrypter (works, but you'll pay more than for AnyDVD - DVDFab will nickel and dime you to death and AnyDVD will not) and rip with that.
Use something like Handbrake (free) to convert to MP4 format if that's what you want.

Note that the older your PC is and the fewer cores it has, the longer it will take you to encode from BluRay to MP4.

Also, note that ripping Blu-Ray and converting from it will likely require a LOT of hard drive space. So, if you don't have at least 75-100 gigabytes of free hard drive space available (if I remember correctly, movies can be up to around 50GB... it's probably best to have twice the space of whatever you're trying to convert available, for conversion purposes. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong.), add a new hard drive to that list.
