Hey all,
I'm wondering if anyone has successfully used the Thermaltake BlacX Duet Dual hard disk enclosure to connect TWO SATA300 hard drives to a computer over the eSATA cable. I thought I'd be able to do this with my PC (an ASUS M4A88TD-V EVO/USB3), but, when using eSATA, Windows (XP Pro, 32-bit SP3) can't see either HDD in the BlacX while both are on simultaneously. One drive alone works fine, however.
I went into PC BIOS, and the BIOS detects and shows both HDDs on the eSATA connection. I figured this meant I was okay. But when Windows comes up, then neither drive are visible on eSATA. I also made sure that my AHCI driver for WinXP is current. AFAIK, my SATA controller H/W is "port multiplier" capable.
Has anyone here successfully gotten the Thermaltake BlacX Duet to connect two HDDs to a PC over eSATA?
