    I have some video files that where orginal in hd and recorded to a standard dvd. I am looking for software that I can edit the movie file so that they will display back in full screen on a hd tv.

    hd is 16:9 by default, so its hould fill the screen when you author it as a widescreen dvd. avstodvd will do this

    editing is a separate issue. any good editor will do this
