i would like to crop video (especially flv) from 4.3 to 16.9.
i do not want to stretch it, and i know i will loose some of the video (top, bottom) in doing this.
ideally i would like an application were you import the 4.3 aspect video and have a kind of an out line of a 16.9 box overlayed on that 4.3 video so i can move it around (to judge if i want to top or bottom cut off)
i did have an application called Sothink dvd creator that could do this but alas this crashes on my Windows 7 laptop even with using the compatibility option, and the new version of this you cant move the 'box' around and its not free.
i can do this in an app' called 'convert x to dvd' but this takes a bit of time to convert (it converts the video to dvd standard)
so any ideas, i would like this software to be Free, Fast, and easy to use, maybe a bit of a tall order, but hey you never know.

try vidcoder or mediacoder, they both have cropping functions if they will take your source as input.
