Okay I've just converted an avi file to DivX with a deinterlace filter. I've added a deinterlace filter in Vdub, marked the deinterlace under the 4.12 codec setting with 2-pass. I've tryed "Smart Deinterlacer" and "PAL Deinterlace filter for VirtualDub" (found them on www.doom9.org), both turned out like shit.
Is it me who have the wrong settings on the deinterlacer, am I doing something wrong or is deinterlace just SHIT?

Thank...I don't know if you have tryed this but I can't get it to work:
"Now create a textfile with the name "Example.avs" with the following content:
AVISource("Yourmovie.avi")
separatefields
"
This part "AVISource("Yourmovie.avi")" what should I write;
AVISource("c:\capture.avi") or what...you know?
