    i tried to play the videos in the vlcc , but when i open the video notihn haapens just blak vlcc is shown , again i installed the neweer version of vlcc but same problem again ..

    Not enough information for us even to guess at the problem. What sort of 'videos'? VLC should be able to play most common formats, sometimes even damaged videos.

    Drop the video into MediaInfo and tell us what it really is, even better, post a screen shot from MediaInfo, tree mode. You can mask out the title if you like.

    AVI is just a container name. Many, many formats are included under that container name.
