mp3directcut - virus?

i've used mp3directcut for a few months now, and i've also used the same Anti-Virus program for years (Avira's AntiVir). i just updated AntiVir a few minutes ago, and it detected mp3directcut.exe as a virus. i downloaded it again and tried installing it, and it said it found a virus again.

is this a false alarm, or is mp3directcut really a virus?

btw, sorry if this is the wrong place to post this. i don't know what would have been more appropriate.

Try another scanner, if it shows it as virus too find an older version and re-install. Sounds like a false positive to me.

I have Mp3DirectCut 2.04 and AVG. After a full scan, no virus reported.

i tried trendmicro's online scanner, and it found nothing.

the "virus" it found was called TR/Dldr.Stration.I. it was just added to Avira's database lastnight. ill post this in the Avira messageboards and see whats up.

btw, i tried downloading mp3directcut from various sites with the same result.

edit: posted in their messageboards and they said it is a false alarm and released an update already fixing it. now thats great support.

Same Problem, i have installed "ZoneAlarm Suite" and it says "malicious behavior" in mp3directcut.exe (V2.13)

Try www.virustotal.com and see what all antivirus apps says.
