hope i can explain this as i am female and not too tech savvy..just bought a samsung 22 inch tv( have an hdmi cable)..its a great pic, however the bottom and sides do not fully show up, no matter what size i set the pic..example, watching qvc, the left side which shows price and name of item is cut in half..as is the bottom of screen on fox, cnn etc. so i only see half of the announcements..have looked at manual and all the tv settings but i cant fix this..

Push the blue "P.SIZE" button on the remote until you get the correct picture. "Just Scan" should show the whole frame.

i;ve done that 100s 0f times..no luck..should add this tv connects to a cablevisoin dvr..

Make sure your cable box is set to output 16:9 at the HDMI port. And that it's not set to zoom or some such.

I don't know your cable box. But there's usually a setup button on the remote. Walk through the menus looking for video options. There may also be a format, screen size, or zoom option on the cable remote.
What does your TV say about the input resolution when you press the Info button on its remote? -
youre right, there is a way to size the pic with the remote..placed it on "full" and now i see all the script..thanks to all for solving this problem..
