  1. I have video in two TS streams (my DVB-T MPEG2 tuner records in TS files of maximum 4GB so it create new TS file every 100 minutes) and tried to join them with HDTVtoMPEG2 - result has glitch (few frames scrambled) at the place where TS files are joined. When I play second TS stream on my PC, it has some problem at the beginning (no audio until few seconds pass) but when playing entire recorded program on DVB-T where I recorded it, everything is perfectly fine - no glitches in entire video!
Anybody have suggestions how to join TS streams to get MPG without loosing frames? Maybe to use some other tool? Or somehow to fix TS before joining? I tried with PVAStrumento but it just deleted problematic part of video which is bad solution. It mus be posible to do this somehow correctly and without losing frames because playback of original program on device where is originally recorded is fine at the moment when DVB-T start to play second TS...

  2. Try ProjectX. What program do you use which sets such strange limit for the file size? I would recommend you to check DVBViewer.

  3. TS files I have are recorded with standalone DVB-T receiver that records in file up to 4GB (FAT32 limit) and then switch to new file.

I already tried with ProjectX - it works on some files but with some still produces glitch (in audio, not in video). Of course - playback on DVB-T receiver where these TS's are recorded is perfect in every case and without any glitches.

In ProjectX what are your audio settings (under presettings audio tab) ? Also post a mediainfo log of the files.

  5. Audio settings and info are in attachment.
These settings I used for testing and with some TSs were fine and with some not. I also sent mediainfo and ProjectX log from joining 2 TSs (actually, part of TSs) that still have audible audio glitch at connection.

Delay relative to video is different in each example - I would suggest you demux both files individually and then drop the video and audio tracks into a mpeg editor like for example Womble etc,, then you can do a stream copy. You can both listen and view the time line for any problems and maybe edit out a couple of frames if necessary. You can get a fully functional trial copy of Womble if you don't have it

    Code:
    Audio
    ID : 20 (0x14)
    Menu ID : 1 (0x1)
    Format : MPEG Audio
    Format version : Version 1
    Format profile : Layer 2
    Codec ID : 3

  7. I already tried that approach but with MPG files converted using HDTV2MPG but without luck. I will try as you suggested (demuxing to video and audio and joining it with Womble) and inform about result.
It is very interresting that DVB-T receiver that produce these files plays them without problems...

Maybe try running each of your recorded .ts files through MPEG2Repair. That may correct any problems. After that, maybe try Video ReDo 'coz that will join .ts files (and others) pretty well.
