My former PC, Sony's Digital Living Center, has been replaced in my home. This concept included two components; a PC and a 200-disc carousel that had burning abilities which I never used. I would like to keep the carousel feature, but the only cabling connection option is the IEEE1394, which seems to be obsolete these days since USB 2.0 and 3.0 were born.

Does anyone know if there is a cable that will allow me to connect the IEEE port from the carousel to a USB port on my new PC? Or do I have to junk the carousel as well?

No such thing that works for video transfer.

Instead add an IEEE-1394 card or cardbus to your new computer.

OK, I had to ask. I bought one of those slimlines which I'm sure won't support any additional cards. I don't get into the insides of PCs anyways as those things have a mind of their own. I appreciate you taking the time to answer my question though. MUCH MUCH appreciation.
