hi everyone, I got a problem for burning dvd.
I would like to burn a SD DVD in 29.97 fps, but some of the videos contain are in 12fps or less, so that if I burn the dvd in 29.97, those video will play faster than the original.
I would like to know, is there any way I can burn the dvd in 29.97 but wouldn't affect the contain video's quality and frame rate?
Thanks in advance for help, really thanks!

12fps to 29.97 wont look good whatever method you use. But how do you convert it now? What software?

Baldrick: you mean convert the video (12 to 29.97) before burn dvd? i am using premiere

After you changed the framerate you could adjust the clip duration to the original duration, "Clip > Speed command for a clip selected in the Timeline panel."

 See http://livedocs.adobe.com/en_US/PremierePro/3.0/help.html?content=WSD85AB0FC-1106-477c...765D8395E.html

Baldrick: i get what you said, which adjust the duration of the clip in the timeline panel, but for the link you gave... i am a bit confuse... what does it mean :

In the Project panel, select a clip.
Choose File > Interpret Footage, select a Frame Rate option, and click OK.

hey, btw, i am using cs5...

and also also ~ i wanna ask you how can i calculate the exactly duration i need to extend.. for example, my clip now is 12fps, duration:3'03"10 and i wanna it be 29.97 so means .. the duration i need to extend to 8'7"24.....right? (sorry if the question sounds a bit stupid... )

really really thanks for your answer!!Last edited by ilannod; 11th May 2011 at 05:29.

Double the frame rate to 24 fps by duplicating each frame, encode as progressive MPEG 2 with pulldown flags.
