I originally posted this in the streaming forum, but after looking more, I think here is a better place. I'm sorry for the double-post, but really want to make sure I can resolve this problem. High importance.

I'm trying to play an .mp4 video I recorded using a program called MSN Recorder Max. Cannot play the recorded file using ANY software I've found or ANY set of codecs I could install. Worse yet, I can't even seem to get much info about the details of the file.

In GSpot, the only info I get is on the container, no other info shows:
    Code:
    isom: MP4 Base Media v1 [IS0 14496-12:2003]
    - iso2: MP4 Base Media v2 [ISO 14496-12:2005]
    - mp41: MP4 v1 [ISO 14496-1:ch13]
And MediaInfo gives something similar, and nothing mode:
    Code:
    Complete name : C:\Documents and Settings\David\My Documents\My Videos\MyVideo-110508-133846.mp4
    Format : MPEG-4
    Format profile : Base Media
    Codec ID : isom
    File size : 6.67 KiB
In the program, the video codec is shown to be "WMT MuxDeMux Filter", but I have this installed and still nothing. And I didn't even think this codec could do mp4, so I don't know if that output is right.

I tried a lot players and codec packs, pretty much sure everything "standard" and beyond.

I've tried contacting the software company, that makes the recorder, but to no avail. I am at a total loss of what to do, anyone have any ideas? I tried to attached a small sample 10x10 example to see if anyone else could play it. I'd really appreciate any help, suggestions, or advice here. Thanks a ton - Dave

dhr3, in the future, just ask a Mod to move your thread. I deleted the duplicate thread.
