  1. Hello,

I think TSMuxer is integrated in multiAVCHD, so it should be possible to change the FPS-rate in a certain video track. But I can't find a corresponding action. When I click on "transcode", it gives me that option, but here it does a full reencoding which is not necessary, for example in TSMuxer this is only a flag. Why a reencode here?

It would be nice if you could help me out here Thanks!

    Bye TheUnknown

What is the source frame rate and what are you converting to?

Normally an MPeg2 or h.264 frame rate conversion would take a recode.

  3. The source is 23,976 Hz and it should be 25 Hz. And in fact no reencoding is necessary. How I mentioned earlier, it's just a flag that tells the BD player to do a faster playback. And in TSMuxer it is possible without any reencoding via the "change fps"-option in the video stream.

So why ain't that possible in multiAVCHD?

There's little program called "uncrop mkv v1.55" from multiavchd author. I used it to change 25fps -> 23.976. AFAIK you have to encode the whole thing. I didnt at first and sound was "clicking" like it was lagging. When I used uncropmkv it took around 45min for 1h 30min video and it looked qualitywise exactly the same as the source.
