  2. You can use CDRWs just as you can use CDRs, just don't format them in any way. Easy CD creator and Nero have an option to erase CDRW, use this , then just burn as normal. Be aware though, you will only get about an hours worth of VCD on a CDRW...

    Hi..

I'm new to VCD burning myslef, but I have a similar problem with EasyCD Creator 5.

I created a VCD onto a TDK CDWR and it played fine in my standalone DVD player (Panasonic). I then wanted to try to create a menu, so I erased the CDWR and went through the VCD wizard to create a new VCD with menus using the same MPG files. Now the DVD player will not play the VCD at all but I can play the VCD on my PC running WinDVD 3.0

I was wondering if a DVD players have problems with CDWRs after it has been erased and rewritten to.

Also, how to I select a frame from the MPG file to use as a thumbnail in EasyCD creator.

    Thanks
    Dave

  5. If your DVD-player has trouble reading your CD-RW, try to erase the CD-RW using 1x speed (instead of using max speed), before writing the video. Only this way I could make my DVD-player read the CD-RW.

    Thanks!!!

I erased the CDRW using a FULL erase rather than a QUICK erase as you suggested then burned as normal and the thing played in my DVD!!

    Many Thanks!!!
