Hi. i just bought a lightscribe burner and tried some disk yesterday. But the color seems too weak, too faded. My drive is an LG, and the media are HP Lightscribe CDs. The things is, that i set it on the "best" quality, and yet im not happy. is there a way to increase the contrast or something to make it darker?

Go to http://www.lightscribe.com and download and install the newest drivers. They do make Lightscribe images darker. I recently upgraded my drivers and I'm pleased with the new ones. Also ALWAYS select "Best" as the option for your burning software as "Best" means to burn it as dark as possible.
Verbatim makes the best Lightscribe discs and it's possible if you use Verbatim discs that your images will be better. -
Once the disc ejects, push the tray/disc back in and burn the same image again. I burn the lightscribe image 3 times on the same disc, with my Lite-On lightscribe burner using SureThing CD Labeler 4 SE software set to "Best" quality on Verbatim discs. The label is crisp and dark but each complete burn takes ~25 minutes for a total of 75 minutes per disc. Two burns are better than one and three burns is even darker. I've never tried 4 burns. The result is excellent if you have the time.
As an experiment, I burned an image once and then restarted my PC. Later, when I went to reburn the same image on the same disc, to make it darker, the rotational alignment was off. So now, I don't close the software or restart computer between burns. The alignment is perfect (burns image right over top of the previous image).
I've read somewhere that Lightscribe DVD discs will be available in different colors this spring/summer. -
yes creakndale, i thought about burning 2 times, but i was afraid of a disalignment, that the image looked like ghost. but you say its perfectly aligned is its done right away?? I wish to know if some other person has tried this and if it doenst have bad alignment,

I have never treid creakndale's method, but I have read of others who have done this.
Again, I say that Verbatim discs are the best for Lightscribe and part of your problem may be using the HP discs. Many have said that images are much better on Verbatim discs. -

The answer is correct: Assuming you don't take the LS disc from the drive.;/ l ,[____], Its a Jeep thing,

hehe. you can take the disc out and then re-insert to burn a second/third/forth time. the discs have index marks so it makes no difference.
other than burning out your cd drive MUCH faster.--
