Though I have checked online compatibility charts, I was wondering if those who have sucessfully burned 99 minute CD-R's could give me some recomendations on what drives to look at buying. My old Philips drive is not capable of doing such a feat (doesn't recognize the discs at all), so I am looking to replace it with something else, preferably with buffer-underrun protection, a 2MB+ buffer, overburn capabilities, CD-text, and a speed of 16x10x32x or greater. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

I have used the Lite-On 2410B for about 6 months now. It's been great and I've been able to burn 99 minute VCDs on a CD-R without a problem. The only caveat is that if I burn a VCD at greater than 8x, I tend to get a lot of artifacts and skipping. Everything else I burn at 24x.
I got mine at newegg.com for about $90. You can probably get a 32x or 40x for that price now.
