    hello ,
    i have a HD 1080P movie(4 GB) with mkv extension on my PC ,now i want to watch it on my TV.I m using Xilisoft video converter to convert it to MP4 with H.264/MPEG4 compression, but the size is extended to 12 GB (no problem ) , but will this conversion reduce quality ? and i have a lot of Blur Ray Rips downloaded with mkv formats which are in 720p , should i upscale them to 1080p ?

    Use mkvtomp4. It shouldn't reconvert the video.
